Club Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of every month (with the exception of November, and occasionally December when holidays shift the date). Each meeting revolves around a featured beer style announced in advance. Members are invited to bring examples of that style to share for the social time, plus any other favorite beers they’d like to share at the 'open table'. The meetings typically start with a Club update, then a short, engaging presentation on the history, ingredients, brewing techniques, or hallmarks of the month’s selected style. The Club then provides a calibration beer tasting of the monthly style for everyone to taste, followed by open discussion and friendly conversation as we compare notes on aroma, flavor, and what makes the beer unique. After the calibration tasting, the real fun begins as we move into the social time! Members get to sample the beers from the two tasting tables: the "selected monthly style" table which includes the night’s theme beers brought by members, and an “all others” table, which includes a free-for-all of surprises, member favorites, and even homebrews made by our very own Club members. Throughout the year, the Club organizes fun-filled, hassle-free bus trips to some of Florida’s best craft breweries – all within easy day-trip distance of The Villages. Past adventures have taken us to Gainesville, Tampa, Dunedin, Orlando, and beyond, with new destinations added whenever a great opportunity arises. Leave the driving to us: hop on the bus, relax with friends, and enjoy outstanding beers straight from the source. Year-round, the Club keeps the good times flowing with casual meet-ups and special events designed for laughter, friendship, and (of course) great craft beer. You’ll find us gathering at local breweries and taprooms for relaxed happy hours, taking over a rec center room for member-only parties and seasonal celebrations, hosting fiercely fun game nights (with beer and prizes, naturally), shooting pool, sitting by a fire pit, or just kicking back with friends old and new. Smaller Social Gatherings usually happen on the 1st Thursday of every month and Larger Social Gartherings occur quarterly. There are also Pop-up events that happen when the opportunity strikes that take our passion for craft beer to the next level. These events are the kind of evenings that make you glad you joined.
